I was explaining to someone about my vessel, and Jimmy. And that the man is dead, and now the body is solely mine.

And he asked if I was a zombie, and now I'm concerned.

Well, it is. Yours. Your body. Don't let anyone suggest otherwise.

Why? What does it matter if you are kind of a zombie?

If you are then so am I. Jo is off, hopefully chilling in heaven somewhere, waiting for the husband she traded her life for. So?

[ She feels a lot less nonchalant about it than she lets on. In fact, she has checked on Jo while she was last up there ... just to know. ]

It is now, I suppose. But if I were to leave it..

[ it would probably rot and now he’s like ??? ]

But I do know Jimmy is in heaven. So that’s a comfort. For both of us.

If a human were to leave their body it would rot and eventually disappear. Turn back into particles, return to the universe. Aren't you and I now simply like humans in that regard?

It is. He is at peace, surely. And so is Jo.

Sadly we cannot take empty vessels the way demons do. ..... it does make one think, doesn't it? Permission may be intended to benefit the humans and yet ... doesn't it hurt all of the parties involved? [ Regret on both sides, possibly? It's unexpectedly cruel. But maybe that is exactly what Chuck intended. ]

All of it seems to be that way. I didn’t realize until recently how much of a puppet I truly was.

It makes you wonder ... Nobody seemed to care that I left when I did. I don't think I mattered as much as you, Castiel. Or Anna. Gabriel. Neither of us fell in line, not really, but ... I am sure nobody even noticed that I was gone.

They could have found me, had they really tried, but nobody did. [ She isn't sure how that makes her feel? There used to be pain, there used to be relief, but now ... she only wonders why. ]

I think it was less that I 'mattered' and more I never did what I was told and needed a closer eye kept on me.

You never kept your rebellious ways all that quiet. I on the other hand played along - for far too long - despising what heaven had become until I couldn't take it anymore.

Castiel ...

[ She knows that. She knows he couldn't have come after her, and had he done so it would have been to hunt her down. It's what they would have made him do. They could have.
But if you ignore the fact that one insignificant angel questioned things and disappeared ... you don't have to explain a thing, can just pretend she never existed. ]
